Gibson is having a monster season so far as he is currently leading the state in rushing according to stats that have been reported. Gibson has rushed for 938 yards with 6 touchdowns on the season and is averaging a whopping 6.8 yards per carry. Using his ability to really see the field Gibson shows amazing patience in the hole and an extra gear once he gets past the second level. He has good balance and a compact frame that allows him to use his speed but also generate power as he is not afraid to make contact through defenders. He is one of those running backs that just consistently falls forward for positive yards and may not break off huge runs every play but consistently puts his team in front of the chains.

Chavez is having another dominant season for Wendell as he is racking up the yards from scrimmage. He has rushed for 872 yards and 11 touchdowns. Using his bruising style of play Chavez picks up tough yard every game. He is a force to be reckoned with and someone that does not go down easily. He runs behind his pads and finishes with violent intent while maintaining his ball security. One of the top players in the 2A ranks he has been a constant for Wendell in the backfield. He may not have some of the top end speed that other backs in the state have but he is one of the most well rounded players we have seen on film, with his ability to catch and block as well. He is someone everyone should be keeping their eyes on as the season keeps moving.

Burns is have a huge season for Post Falls where he is their leading rusher and a name that many in the 5A are familiar with. He has rushed for 793 yards and 12 touchdowns on the season and does it in a variety of different ways. His ability to hit game breaking plays is what separates him from many of his peers. He is one of those players that everyone holds their breath when he touches the ball as you never know if this is going to be the one that breaks for long yards. He has good speed to go with his ability to cut on a dime and make defenders miss. He may not be the biggest player on the field but has the toughness of a 6′ 200lb back. He is someone on the top over everyones scouting report this season and it would be no shock to see it there every week.
