2025 Washington WR/DB Terry Rea III Terry Rea III 5'10" | 150 lbs | DB Washington | 2025 State WV has provided good depth at receiver for the Patriots this season but has been even more impressive as a defensive back.
He’s totaled 29 tackles and 3 interceptions which includes two for touchdowns. Rea is another prospect we saw live at the PRZ WV Combine and we’re finally getting extended film of him this season which should have colleges keeping tabs on him. He’s a bit undersized but very athletic and could play on either side of the ball at the next level. Rea has natural ball skills as a WR and as a DB that allows him to create highlight catches consistently. Being a coach’s son, he’s also a smart and heady player that puts himself in good positions to make plays on offense and defense. D2 and D3 programs should be on Rea this season as he further gets his name out there.

Washington has a plethora of quick and shifty receivers and 2025 WR/DB Terry Rea III Terry Rea III 5'10" | 150 lbs | DB Washington | 2025 State WV is another weapon that will be utilized in their offense. He’s a coach’s son and well-developed as a player who can perform on both sides of the ball. Rea will be a reliable target on offense this season who can be utilized in a variety of ways from the slot. He’ll sneak his way into being consistently open and finds space well in opposing secondaries. Rea is also a good athlete and tested well at our PRZ WV Combine earlier this year.
Rea is a small college prospect with the potential to earn some D2 opportunities with a big senior season.

Washington 2025 WR/DB Terry Rea III Terry Rea III 5'10" | 150 lbs | DB Washington | 2025 State WV was a largely unknown prospect to us heading into the Combine due to the lack of film available, but he showed why he shouldn’t be overlooked during the event. Rea tested well in tough weather conditions with a 4.7 40, 4.38 pro shuttle, and a very quick 7.35 L Drill time. You could tell that he’s a natural athlete who is a tough cover in 1-on-1 man coverage for high school defensive backs. Rea has the versatility to be a strong DB as well and flashed at both spots during the camp.
We’ll have a better evaluation of Rea once he posts some more season film, but the coach’s son is an under-the-radar 2025 prospect that deserves more attention heading into his senior year.

Another under-the-radar prospect with limited info/film available right now but could emerge as a top defensive performer at the combine is Washington’s Terry Rea III. The biggest thing going for him right now before getting to see him in person is he’s a coach’s son. His father is the head coach of Washington, so you know Rea will be well-coached and have good fundamentals and technique. Rea boasts a listed 4.53 40 time and is an athlete who could put up some impressive numbers during the combine testing portion of the camp. If we can get that type of athleticism confirmed at the combine, that will give him some college interest alone even with limited film available. Our question for him will be just how athletic he is, will the numbers prove as such, and just how high his ceiling can be? We’d also like to know which position he performs best at and could show some good things at both WR and DB. I have a feeling Rea will be one of the under-the-radar prospects who will make his name known with a strong performance and get on some radars that he might not have been on prior.
