is a physical linebacker who brings a strong presence to the middle of the defense. At 6’1”, 215 pounds, he has a well-built frame that allows him to take on blockers and hold his ground. On film, Tooles shows the ability to read plays quickly and react downhill with urgency. He is at his best attacking the run, where he consistently fills gaps and limits yards after contact. His tackling ability stands out, as he wraps up well and finishes plays with authority. Tooles also flashes the ability to pursue laterally, showing solid range for his size. As he continues to develop in pass coverage, his overall game will become more complete. With his physical tools and play style, Tooles is trending upward as a defensive prospect to watch.

- No complete sophomore season film, yet plenty of single-game cut-ups and a lengthy mid-season tape to uncover for coaches to watch if they want to do something early digging into a talented Coatesville program. Used his mid-season tape as a basis for my evaluation. Self listed measurables are a positive for his age. Tape starts off with a sack through the A-gap post-blitz. Love his read and react skills, especially for a backer who primaries being stationed between the tackles. A comfortable blitzer with real pursuit skills, comfortable crowding the LOS. Can align as an OLB, gap-filling in his strong suit, however, this makes his ILB designation make sense. Tone-setter, not a tentative or hesitant player, he’s got the makings of an accolade-earning MIKE Backer. In and around a few turnovers, whether they come from pressures resulting in picks, or fumble recoveries due to his motor revving. Want to learn of cover skills and offensive capabilities. Want to learn more about his edge-setting capabilities too, although he has a few reps on tape proving he can break outside contain and run stop on the edge. Great initial dig into this kid.

is kicking off this “Risers” list. Tooles passes the eye test, long frame with room to be filled out, paired with long vine like arms to allow him to be used all over the field from any linebacker spot. Tooles is a good athlete, who like I previously mentioned is versatile at the linebacker spot, but also can play TE/H-Back for that Coatesville offense. Tooles was in a limited role his freshman season, playing primarily special teams. However, Tooles is primed to step into a bigger role entering his sophomore season, so the ball is in his court to rise the ranks.
