Tayvion had a strong season this past year, throwing for over 1700 yards and accounting for 28 touchdowns only as a sophomore. I think he can definitely grow more physically, and I think that performance put him on the radar of some watch lists for college football programs. He’s got a 4.25 GPA, and that intelligence shows well in his highlight film. Tayvion makes smart decisions when reading the field in both the passing game and running game. He knows when to take off and run and not force bad throws. He shows some nice rhythm from the pocket when throwing the deep ball, and I think his arm strength will only continue to improve as he grows older.
Williams not only made All-Conference but won Conference Player of the Year as a sophomore after a tremendous 2025 campaign. Even if the rushing stats don’t look impressive on the surface, the three-sport athlete is a true dual-threat, with multiple highlight reel runs on tape. After the season, he hit our Prep Redzone Showcase and impressed in that camp setting as well.
Though he hasn’t been a high-volume passer, Williams has been highly efficient for Asheville. He’s completing 70% of his passes as a sophomore, flashing the ability to fit the ball in tight windows with velocity. He’s inexperienced, but getting better every week. He’s not an elite runner, but he’s dangerous near the endzone, and has 17 total touchdowns this season.
