Expert Analysis
Matt Morrow | Prep Redzone Scout
Tyrell earns our #3 spot for defensive linemen in Western North Carolina off of being a defensive selection for All-Conference this past season. Tyrell shows some strong burst off the ball at the snap, which allows him to make plays in the backfield in the running game. Tyrell totaled 10 tackles for loss, and that is a big reason why. Also, I love Tyrell’s closing speed in short spaces, that allows him to get to ball carriers quickly and take them down. Tyrell had 52 tackles on the season, a pretty good number for an EDGE player.

Green played a lot of 3-4 defensive end for Asheville, but we think he could be a future interior lineman. He made a ton of his plays on stunts and has the strength to go toe-to-toe with interior offensive linemen. He moves well and he has excellent length to keep offensive linemen from getting to his body. An all-conference selection, Green’s upside is high and his development will be key.
