A former playmaker for North Point, Williams is now the catalyst to the Timberland offensive attack, and was the best player on the field. His athletic ability to be mobile in the pocket, extend plays, and create action downfield with his legs and his arm is what allows this team to essentially run up any score they want against their opponents. Several times Thursday, Williams used his scramble ability to create big plays for scores or setting up goal to go situations. Finished the game with 286 yards and 1 pass TD, and 26 yards on the ground with 3 rush TDs. After North Point cut the lead, Williams led the charge for an immediate response. He may be a quarterback at the next level, but his athletic ability and playmaking ability with the ball will lead to a position move to receiver potentially to maximize his potential.

Williams is listed at two positions, as he is his team’s quarterback but could, and likely will, project to multiple positions at the next level. At Lindenwood, got to see him move and throw. He certainly has a whip attached to his arm, and athletically he is quick and twitched up and Division I caliber. Put up big passing numbers last year at his previous program and displayed the ability to be dangerous with the ball in hand. In May he transferred to Timberland. Mechanically, he is raw, essentially a playmaker playing the quarterback position, but will get those QB looks at the lower levels. Receiver is a place where he could have the highest potential with his raw athletic traits and ability to create in space. At 6010 152 with a 4.73×40, he has plenty of room for growth and development, and can bring a dynamic element to the offense at the next level.

Tavren Williams Tavren Williams 6'1" | 165 lbs | WR/QB Timberland | 2027 State MO is one of the more talented prospects in his class in the state of Missouri this upcoming season. He is coming off a strong junior year at North Point in which he completed 144/223 passes for 2,258 yards, 32 touchdowns, and eight interceptions. As a passer, he has an impressive arm strength which he uses to stretch the field in the deep passing game and to fit passes into tight windows in the short/intermediate passing game. He is just as impressive as a ball carrier as he is able to use his explosive speed and elusiveness in the open field to break away for big gains with his legs at any given moment. As a junior, Williams carried the ball 100 times for 537 yards and six touchdowns. His athleticism will get him looked at by college coaches for multiple positions and I expect a lot of eyes to be on him after transferring to Timberland for his senior year.
