Averaging 17.4 yards per catch, Butler’s ability in the open field after the catch is unparalleled. His less than 4 to 1 catch to touchdown ratio proved he is a threat to score every time he touches the ball. He has a great vertical jump and catches the ball at its highest point. Steven can run every route with precision and has solid hands. Making 2nd team all Western New York and getting Honorable Mention on the All State team has given him some attention from recruiters but still uncommitted. Whichever college lands him will be getting a special athlete.

Butler has the innate ability to get open. Even when he is covered, he is fantastic at catching the ball in traffic. Listed at 5’11, he is not tall but does possess an incredible vertical leap that allows him to catch the ball at its highest point. His route running is very good and he has great concentration. Although he did receive an offer from St. Francis University, his academic and athletic future is uncertain.
