is another OL with prototypical size and traits. He feels very comfortable in a power and gap scheme. Tankersley is very good down blocking creating movement attacking the low hip. Superb when pulling, Tankersley takes good angles and stays under control on the move. His play strength is off the charts and combines that with his length to displace once he gets engaged with defenders.

Coming off earning a recent offer from Austin Peay, Tankersley came to the PRZTN Showcase to live up to the hype and he did just that by not just looking the part but dominating his opponents during 1 on 1 competition. Standing 6’5 305 pounds, Tankersley is built like a truck but he is also a deceptive athlete that ran and moved well during testing then looked quite mobile when we jumped into full contact blocking. This guy is rock solid and consistent, meaning you can depend on him to do his job and perform to the best of his abilities each time he steps on the field. The Rockets senior O-lineman has shown recently the ability to play some tackle on the collegiate level but his best fit might be inside at guard where he can block guys down field while also using his mobility to pull or pass block when needed. Look for Tankersley to continue adding interest and offers over the coming months as he works through the upcoming summer camp season.

Landing his first college offer recently from Austin Peay, this Mid-Tennessee O-lineman could see his recruitment take off as Tankersley provides tons of physical traits and upside that college coaches look for along with the deceptive potential to pass block at tackle. What is so deceptive about the Rockets pass blocking upside on the next level? Well Tankersley immediately looks the part of a college offensive guard with how he is built but the more you watch his film as well as look over recent clips, this 6’5 O-lineman shows the potential to play tackle in the college game. Tankersley is a clean, steady performer that plays a consistent brand of football, so his technique is strong and his lower half is quite mobile. Those traits about him makes Tankersley capable of handling the pass rush at tackle but continued work must be done to manage that role moving forward. He sports good feet and patience but continued agility, bend and hand technique must be worked on to remain outside. Tankersley could step into a college O-line room right now and immediately compete for a spot at offensive guard but his versatility to swing outside makes this Forrest trench monster valuable to collegiate coaches.

Coming from a lower level school and a small town, Tankersley may not get the looks as some other O-linemen in his class but this burly mauler is worthy of more looks as he brings that one trait to the football field that is needed in the game of football and that’s physicality. Tankersley is brute, a bulldozer, a versatile O-lineman that enjoys putting defenders on their backs and continuing to do so until the final whistle. This 6’5 senior blocker shows the ability to get low on film and drive his man down field. He also has enough athleticism to handle the rush and swing out to right tackle if needed but his game fits best inside at guard where he physically manhandles the opposition. Plenty of interest has been floating around Tankersley but those offers have yet to arrive. That should change over the next couple of months after he camps this summer and shows off his improvements this Fall during his senior year.
