Shawn Taylor Shawn Taylor 6'0" | 185 lbs | LB/ATH Tates Creek | 2027 State KY is a player who recently caught my attention at our Stock Up Showcase in Kentucky this past winter. Taylor lines up at linebacker where he is very reliable against the run. He has great lateral agility to move sideline to sideline in a hurry and also has the closing speed to get to the ball carrier to make the tackle before they can get going. Shawn has also showed the ability to drop into coverage and make plays against the pass. Taylor doesn’t currently hold any offers but he will be a player for college coaches to keep an eye on heading into his junior year.

He was very impressive during position drills, showing good lateral agility and the ability to come downhill with a sense of urgency while staying under control. Taylor also stood out during 1v1 passing drills against the running backs, showing the ability to open up and use his speed to mirror their routes. Shawn is a player who college coaches should definitely have their eyes on over the next couple seasons.

He was also very impressive in the 1v1 passing competition against the running backs, showing the ability to open up and run with them with ease to mirror their routes, staying in their hip pocket the whole way. Taylor should definitely be an intriguing prospect to watch over the next couple years.
