Shaun’Dez has fast feet and great field vision. He gets to the ball quickly and drives through ball carriers when tackling. He has has good hips and turns well in coverage. Shaun’Dez has the speed and power to play free or strong safety. He brings the wood when in run support and can also break up passes on the outside.

“Buckhannon” has a special skill set. His elite athleticism allows him to play bigger than his 5’8″ size. He is very quick and it pops on film. He stands out on defense and on offense. On defense playing safety he can ball hawk, or be a security blanket over the top. He recognizes when run support is needed and he reacts with elite quickness to come up and make the play. He tackles with low pad level and runs through his targets. His freshman film shows on offense, he is a home run threat each time he carries the ball. He does really well on outside perimeter runs where he can use his vision and speed to wiggle through and away from defenders. Solid recruit who will have a slew of D1 college interest going forward.
