One of my favorite defensive backs in all of Pennsylvania, I think the young man is vastly under-recruited. Spring-Ford’s Shane Lewis Shane Lewis 5'9" | 155 lbs | DB Spring-Ford | 2025 State PA will be deployed in the Ram’s secondary. Lewis’s presence outside the numbers, serving as a true number-one corner option, should have opposing quarterbacks second-guessing themselves when looking his way. Can’t name 20 better senior DBs in the state. 5’9, 160 pounds, Lewis’s stature might have FCS and D2 schools a bit weary in terms of potential early offers. One look at him live, as well as on tape, I would pushback the notion that Lewis is too small for the next level. Physical and annoying defender who likes to get into the chest and facemask of opposing wideouts. Has experience playing press, can bump and run with eyes on the QB. Comes down from the flat to make tackles with little hesitation, this isn’t a pass-first DB, you can get Lewis to be a factor in the run game if need be. Great break on balls coming inside, Lewis uses his hands well to turn and deflect digs, slants, ins, and other in-breaking routes. Excels when he can see the football. Nearly a top 200 senior.
