Matt DeBary | Prep Redzone Scout
A rangy safety who closes quickly down the field, Brown Jr. is one of the top returning defensive backs in the area after showing playmaking ability last season as a junior. Playing on a talented Valdosta defense, the 6-foot-1 175-pounder gave the Wildcats a consistent weapon in the secondary, making 30 tackles, five TFLs, picking off two passes and taking one of them back for a touchdown. He’s now ranked as the No. 57 DB prospect in the state and should have an excellent senior season this fall.
