Matt DeBary | Prep Redzone Scout
An explosive outside linebacker with quick, violent hands and the ability to make big plays in the backfield, Kier is a sleeper linebacker in South Georgia who made play after play this season behind the line of scrimmage. When he made plays, they killed drives and help give Valdosta the ball back. He made just 35 tackles, but 16 of them came behind the line of scrimmage. He also made a team-leading nine sacks and eight more quarterback hurries. He was one of the top underrated 2026 pass-rushers in the area and was an easy addition to the latest rankings, now coming in as the No. 58 linebacker prospect in the state.

A speedy South Georgia linebacker with strong instincts, toughness, and impressive closing speed, Kier has been a really impressive defender who has helped lead the Wildcats back to their dominant ways. Leading Valdosta to an undefeated 6-0 record, Kier has made 20 tackles, 11 TFLs and seven sacks. He shows a nose for the ball, can beat opposing linemen with speed, and knows how to wrap up properly when he meets the ball-carrier. He’s had a terrific first half of his senior season and is one of the more productive pass-rushers in the region at the moment. Look for Kier and the Wildcats to make a deep playoff run later this fall.
