About Sawyer

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

Precise and powerful. Always ready to lift up the team when needed.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

Since I was 4, playing soccer, I have always stepped up to take the PK, throw in, or get involved in clutch situations. Kicking is no different. As soon as the ball approaches the 50, I am ready.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am involved with youth groups at my church, but work 2 jobs on top of my studies and training.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have always been an active leader on every team I have been involved with. My team and friends know that I am there for them and I go out of my way to get younger players involved so they build confidence and feel a part of the team.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

The most significant challenge was dealing with 3 concussions playing soccer, which ultimately led to my shift to kicking for football. I missed a lot of school and had to work hard to maintain a high gpa. It was frustrating to have a limit on sports during that time, but made me realize that my long term health is most important and how to emotionally work through set backs like this.

What type of college are you looking for?

My main focus is to play beyond high school. At the moment I am a 4.5 star kicker (#41 overall class of 2026) with Kohls, but coaches agree that I am still growing into my potential.

Sawyer Riffle Sawyer Riffle Sawyer Riffle 6'1" | 205 lbs | K/P Brainerd | 2026 MN ‘s production was another long-range Punter this season who was best utilized in pinning his opponents deep. Riffle finished with the highest average yards per punt among placekickers in MN, averaging 43.5 yards per punt on 24 punts, including 2 touchbacks and 1 punt pinned inside the 20. He also went 4 of 10 on field goals and 20 of 21 on extra points. Riffle was considered by many as the best Punter prospect in MN heading into this season, and he shined brightly as one of the few consistent standouts for Brainerd this year. Riffle will be taking his strong leg to North Dakota, where he’ll look to continue excelling for the Fighting Hawks.
