Gar-Field will be a prime contender to take back the Cardinal District this year and they have enough talent to do so. Perhaps a bit overlooked is corner Samuel Barlay who is having an impressive off-season. He will play both db and receiver his final year for the Red Wolves and I hope he gets some looks at the Prince William County showcase upcoming.

The more I watch Samuel Barlay play corner the more I strongly believe he will be playing at the next level. He is really coming into his own after a good junior season with Gar Field. Particularly on day 1 Barlay was locking down receivers and had a near pick that helped complete his squad perfect first day.

I have enjoyed watching Gar Field really take a nice transition for the better under Coach Edmonds, he continuously is having prospects like Samuel Barlay Jr Samuel Barlay Jr Samuel Barlay Jr 6'0" | 160 lbs | DB/WR Gar-field Senior High School | 2027 State VA play to their potential. Trust me this young man has elite speed and vision that can easily transition to the next level. Exceptionally route runner too, Barlay should see more reps on offense next year he has earned it. He is a 6’0 and 160 lbs.. added ten more pounds of muscle and I think you will be seeing this kid play on Saturdays.
