Though Phillips has been a two-year starter, he’s a newer guy to our radar. He’s versatile, able to play close to the line of scrimmage or flex out to play man coverage in the slot. He’s a cerebral player who puts himself in position to make plays. Right now, he’s better against the run than in pass coverage, but he has the athletic profile to suggest he’ll make some plays on the ball and pick off a pass or two as a senior.
