Kyhill overcame a knee injury suffered in a Week 1 loss to Hartford last season to rush for 776 yards and seven touchdowns. He also tossed a TD pass. A versatile player who is also used as a wide receiver, Kyhill had 378 receiving yards and eight touchdowns last season. As a linebacker, he recorded 82 tackles, including one sack, intercepted two passes and forced a fumble.

His ability to make defenders miss and his speed in space were on full display in 2024. The Slaters offense used Sam in multiple ways, both as a RB out of the back field and as a slot WR. Sam was a matchup nightmare for opposing defenses and was hard to keep out of the endzone. Heading into his junior season, look for Sam to have another breakout year and climb the rankings in New England.

Sam has quick feet and changes direction quickly. He can make defenders miss and has enough speed to breakaway from tacklers. On defense he uses these qualities to get to the ball quickly and wraps up well. He also contributes on special teams, but his skills are best seen running routes and making defenders miss.
