A rare breed of prospect, Sam Hoffman Sam Hoffman 5'10" | 175 lbs | K/P Ballard | 2027 IA of Ballard is the type of specialist that earned an offer from one of the more prestigious programs in NAIA.
Going 10-of-14 between his sophomore and junior years, Hoffman’s one of the more prolific kickers in the state. Over those two seasons, the all-stater also went 47-of-48 on PATs, showing some of the best consistency on point after attempts in the state. He also posted 11 touchbacks on kickoffs.
Hoffman shows potential in terms of power, consistency and carry, as he confidently drilled a 46-yard, school-record field goal this last season.

Hoffman earned all-state recognition as a sophomore in 2024 when he converted all eight of his field-goal attempts and made 31 of 33 extra points. The numbers dropped off this past fall, but he didn’t miss a point-after attempt and booted a 46-yard field goal. Hoffman also added punting duties to his responsibilities. We can witness his skills when watching a mixed highlight package of the last two campaigns. Leg strength shines through when he’s blasting it through the uprights or kicking off. Schools like Grand View and Dordt are showing interest in the Bomber boomer.
