Jordan Reyes | Prep Redzone Scout
Excellent senior year for the two-way athlete out of Fountain Hills. Led the state in receiving yards for the regular season and broke school records for receptions, touchdowns, and yards finishing with 71 catches for 1,250 yards and 20 touchdowns while adding 56 tackles, 9.5 TFL, and three interceptions on defense. At WR, he shows good twitch and separation ability while seeing heavy coverage. Shows high-level body control and coordination to attack the ball in the air and make tough contested catches in traffic. He tracks and adjusts well and flashes the ability to extend and play a ball outside his framework. Plus route runner that gets in/out of his breaks and accelerates to create space from the defender. Big play threat after the catch that can use his speed and elusiveness to breakaway in space. Holds an offer from Wisconsin-River Falls but deserves more recruiting attention.

FCS programs should be all over this kid, as he was nationally ranked in both Rec. yards and TD’s for over half of the season, lead 3A in receiving yards and Rec. TD’s, broke the school record, and consistently drew double teams and bracket coverage- yet still was able to haul in unreal catches with ease. Excellent twitch with a ton of bounce, showing the ability to burst laterally without hesitation to frequently put opponents on skates. Great hands and body control with toughness through the catch while anticipating contact, and his balance for a WR after the catch is as good as it gets. He’s a basketball player as well, and possesses a great vert to go up and win those contested grabs against longer CB’s. A sure big play threat all year and will translate to your ideal slot at the FCS level.

through his first four games of his senior season has made headlines as the state’s top leader in receiving. It started with his first game playing Kofa, where he brought in 8 catches for 188 receiving yards and 4 TDs. Most recently, he put up 11 catches for 275 receiving yards and 4 TDs versus Marcos de Niza. Barnard’s vertical route tree puts cornerbacks in a bind as he is so versatile in what he can run. He can run out and ups, posts, and even just a simple go route and always have a chance to take it to the house. When he gets to the red zone, his focus at the catch point is even more impressive as he attacks it with great leaping ability to snag that ball out of the air for the touchdown. He plays all three phases of the game for his team: wide receiver, kick returner, and even outside linebacker for Fountain Hills. They have a tough road test coming up going to Payson High, but it will be exciting to see how Barnard can light up the field versus his next opponent.
