Sam Ahn Sam Ahn 5'7" | 180 lbs | RB/ATH Independence | 2028 State VA is a well-rounded ball-carrier who shined back at PRZVA’s February Showcase. He moves very well and can be a threat as both a runner and pass-catcher out of the backfield.

He also played slot receiver for IHS last season, showing off the versatility to be effective out there, mostly due to his ability to separate with quickness on two-way go’s. Ahn does a little bit of everything on offense, but he should see more time as a traditional running back as a junior in 2026.

Ahn plays in a run-heavy offense, and he could burst onto the scene this fall.

Sam was a nice surprise on the day, stepping up and showing out against strong competition to make 1st Team All Offense for the showcase. An athletic compact build RB who was poised with the question of how he would handle himself in 1v1s…and he shined. Sam was a sharp route runner, able to easily separate from defenders and get into open space for run after the catch. Showing excellent hands, Sam tracks the pass well and can make the difficult catch with a defender all over him. He is also dynamic with the ball in his hands. In RB drill work he had good burst, quick cut ability with good center of balance. Sam showed he is a versatile utility RB who can run between the tackles and be a playmaker in the passing game. Look for him to have a breakout junior season next fall.

He is the type of athlete who needs to be put in space and then let him do his thing. He is that outstanding an athlete with the ball in his hands. The question is, how does he do in the one-on-one competitions at the showcase? I expect a big showing from him, and it should be fun to see him work out.
