Ristau finished with 357 yards and 4 TDs on just 15 receptions (23.8 YPC). Ristau plays with a great level of physicality to match his larger size as an outside receiver, proving a bit of a mismatch for smaller CBs, while showing some of the strongest hands at his position, being able to high-point vertical passes and maintain control and balance through contact. I had mentioned Ristau as both a QB and LB prospect previously, but I think he’s found his true calling at WR with how well he utilized his athleticism, and he should remain to be a stud on offense for the Falcons going forward.

Ristau’s only completion on varsity during his freshman year was a 68 yard touchdown, hitting a beautiful deep strike over the middle to his WR in stride who took it to the house. Ristau’s efforts could be seen more on the defense next season, as he boasts a solid amount of athleticism, including a 30″ vertical and a 4.98 40 yard time that could help him gain some reps at LB. Ristau is an intriguing prospect with plenty of potential, but we’ll have to be patient to see how he will develop and how will he be used for this team.
