About Ryker

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I am a pro-style dual-threat QB that can hang and pass in the pocket and will scramble when needed. I love to roll out and throw on the run. I pride myself on my accuracy in passing, toughness in rushing and relentless hustle.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I am not only a verbal leader, I am a leader by example. I will never ask a teammate to do anything I wouldn't do myself. I put my team before my stats and my players before myself. The only thing I can fully control is my effort and character, so I give both the maximum every play, on and off the field.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Academic All-American 2021 Academic All-American 2022 Academic All-American 2023 Academic All-American 2024 International Athlete Scholar 2024 Athlete Scholar Award-Willamette High 2024 I am co-owner of Peak Football Academy with my father. Peak is a 501 non-profit charity that provides free teams, camps, clinics, coaching and mentoring for underprivileged youth in my area.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

To be a good QB you have to be a good natural leader, but to be a great QB you must earn the respect of your teammates to be a great leader. You get back what you put in, so I always give all my passion, dedication and effort to my teammates and team. I have learned that being coachable, adaptable and respectful is very important in my relationships with my coaches and that spills over into life.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Yes, and they have made me stronger. I have faced severe bullying and harassment by moving schools twice in the last few years, but I stay laser focused. I have overcome a broken wrist and played in a cast. I broke my foot and made it back to the field that same season. I have consistently been the undersized underaged underdog and rose to the top strictly through hard work and performance.

What type of college are you looking for?

My desired field is Sports medicine and athletic training at a high level. I have been interning with my high school trainer and have fallen in love with the field of study. I also want to go to a school with a historic culture that I can be proud of.
