About Ryder

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

Game style is fast, aggressive, and physical: elite 4.4 speed complemented by great lateral quickness and power. A decisive and physical runner who combines patience with explosiveness. Stays disciplined reading blocks, then hit the hole with urgency. Takes pride in finishing runs, protecting the ball, and being reliable in all situations, whether it’s rushing, receiving, or blocking.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

Off the field, Ryder is disciplined and consistent with his habits. Takes pride in handling his academics, staying on top of training and nutrition, and preparing his body the right way. Holds himself accountable and doesn’t make excuses. Focus is on improving every day. He's coachable, respectful, and team-first, and tries to represent his program the right way in everything he does.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Member of the following clubs and organizations: - National Honor Society - National Math Honor Society - National English Honor Society - Veteran's Appreciation Club - Chess Club

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Maintains a humble leadership style through both football and community service. The family has a 4-generation history of military service, so he has helped lead the RFH Veteran’s Appreciation Club. That has taught the importance of humility, and being part of something bigger than oneself. Additionally, he gives back via coaching youth flag football so he can pass down lessons he has learned.

What type of college are you looking for?

Ryder is looking for a competitive program, with a track record of success, at a high academic institution that can develop young men and prepare them for what's next - whether it's in football, business, or life in general.

From the moment Ryder Izzo Ryder Izzo Ryder Izzo 6'0" | 190 lbs | LB/RB Rumson-Fair Haven | 2027 State NJ stepped onto the field, the running back carried himself with a different level of focus and intensity, attacking every rep with maximum effort. Ryan turned heads early by posting one of the fastest 40-yard dash times of the day, but his game speed and movement skills were even more impressive during position work.

A natural and fluid ball carrier, Izzo navigated through cone drills effortlessly, showing quick feet and a smooth change of direction without wasted movement. He ran decisively against the linebackers, too, displaying no hesitation when it was time to hit the hole and get north-south. The highlight of the session came when he hauled in an acrobatic downfield catch that immediately grabbed the attention of everyone in attendance. By the end of the event, he had firmly earned the title of my running back MVP.
