Displays outstanding footwork and easily changes direction or cuts back against the grain without losing speed or momentum. Resilient, possesses the agility to tuhe corner, and keeps the play in bounds. Effective receiver who extends his hands and snatches the pass out of the air. Adjusts to the errant throw and makes the reception in stride.

Hard-charging, galloping runner with excellent burst/acceleration and solid deep speed; doesn’t waste time hitting the hole when he finds a lane, being happy to execute the concept as called if possible. Overall vision is very solid, consistently recognizing cutback lanes. Has very quick feet to shuffle and find lanes; nice jump-cuts in the backfield. Capable of making the first man miss, with impressive jukes to break free. Fast enough to outrun defenders to the corner, with a good stiff-arm when he’s near the boundary. Fights to finish runs, with good leg drive to gain additional yardage after contact. Flexibility and contact balance are both very good.

Perkins shows patience in the backfield to let holes develop, but runs with decisiveness when the hole is open; a north-south runner who doesn’t try to get too cute in the backfield, executing plays as designed. Shows above-average agility and footwork when navigating through congestion. Low center of gravity and thick build give him impressive contact balance. Can be difficult to bring down once he gets a head of steam. Runs through arm tackles easily and can punish second-level defenders with physical stiff arms and shoulder tackles.
