Ryan is a massive OL who similarly to Mitchel, mentioned above, is back from injury and ready to dominate the trenches. Watching through the 2023 highlights it quickly becomes apparent how much of a bully Ryan is in the run game an dhow far superior his strength is compared to his opponent. Ryan easily drives his opponent down the line away from the called gap. From his leg drive to his heavy hands, Ryan has dominant power. His ability to overpower DL is special and he also has decent range to be able to pull and kick out defenders. Ludwig is a huge prospect and those kids usually need some time for body control to fully develop, so don’t be surprised to see him take a big leap when tape starts coming out this fall. He may also begin to show it at camps this summer. Big things ahead for Ryan.

The 6’3″ 315 lbs freshman OG was able to get on the varsity field for Oshkosh West. The young man didn’t look out of place doing it either. He has a rare frame that is just starting to build on strength. Ryan has the range you want to see at the guard position. He has shown that he can pull, skip pull, and get up to the second level quickly. He looks fluid while on the move too. It looks easy for him. For him to push for the top spot it will be about adding strength to his game so he can reset the line of scrimmage in his team’s favor. I’m also excited to see how his footwork develops when he is using his power. This is an exciting OL with FBS potential if he continues to put in the work.
