. After spending last season at the JV level, Gibbs has an opportunity to earn a varsity role as a sophomore and begin carving out a place in the Big Blacks’ offense. The 6’1 receiver brings an intriguing combination of size and athleticism, with the speed to stretch the field and create separation down the field. While he’s still developing, the physical tools are there for him to become a big varsity contributor over the next few seasons. Gibbs is a player worth keeping an eye on as he continues to grow into his role and could take a significant step forward this fall.

, but the early traits are encouraging. Ranked among the Top 20 receivers, Gibbs didn’t have an extensive amount of freshman film to evaluate, yet what was available showed a player with intriguing physical tools. His 6’1 frame gives him good size on the outside, and his speed allows him to stretch the field and separate once he gets into space. The varsity production should come as he earns more opportunities and continues developing within the Big Blacks’ program. Gibbs is a projection at this stage, but he’s one of those receivers who could take a noticeable jump over the next couple of seasons as his game catches up to his athletic ability.

. In his limited amount of film, Gibbs showed he has the length anf stright-line speed to develop into a future varsity standout. His speed in the open field stood out to us, which, paired with his 6’1 size, earned him a spot on the 2029 Watch List.
