One of a few prospects that made the trip to Aberdeen from Minnesota, that showed off some good reps at our Prep Redzone Dakotas Showcase was 2027 offensive linemen Ryan Bye of Detroit Lakes, a program that IMO has been making some waves at our PRZ showcases across the area. Ryan impressed me with all the strength he had with his hands at his disposal as I noticed small and steady growth from watching his first rep to the last one, showing me that Ryan brings a growing football IQ for attention to detail. The nearly 6’0 294 pounder has an upside to climb this off-season by growing out his foot speed and creation of more agile movement, but surely has the physical tools at the point of attack well-versed heading into camp season and his junior season. The tape might be light, but I will be intrigued to track Ryan over the next-several months to hopefully see the development.
