About Rocco

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

My name is Rocco Zenick, Class of 2026 from Waterbury Career Academy in Connecticut. I wanted to personally introduce myself and express my interest in your program. I’m a versatile athlete playing Outside Linebacker, Defensive Back, and Quarterback, and I’m currently ranked Top 25 in CT Class S 2025 I play with grit, poise, and a high football IQ.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

My mentality is built on grit, accountability, and competitiveness. I take pride in doing the hard things — studying film, leading by example, and showing up every day ready to work. I’m the type of player who doesn’t need to be asked twice; if something needs to get done, I handle it. I stay calm under pressure, I don’t make excuses, and I’m always looking for ways to elevate the people around me

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I’ve faced a few real challenges, and each one pushed me to grow as a player and a person. Balancing playing quarterback and defense this season forced me to learn how to prepare at a higher level, manage my time, and stay locked in mentally. I also had to earn everything — nothing was handed to me. Competing for reps, dealing with tough losses, and staying consistent through adversity.
