Here is the 2025 Season Stockriser Alert for the New England region, highlighting a significant physical transformation in Connecticut.
Scout’s Analysis: Blaize is the definition of a late-bloomer who has seen a massive growth spurt. Previously evaluated at 6’1″, Ethan now looks every bit of 6’4″, a height confirmed by recent 2025 rosters. This added length has drastically improved his field vision. He can see over the line and stand tall in the pocket. He displays a strong arm. He can fit “timing passes” into tight windows. He also flashes the mobility to extend plays while keeping his eyes downfield.
Weaknesses & Development: While his frame is now impressive, his mechanics need to catch up. His film shows a tendency for the ball to “hang” due to inconsistent throwing motions, particularly on the move. He should tighten his release. Improving his lower-body mechanics will also help. These adjustments will eliminate the loft on his deep balls and produce a more consistent spiral.
Recruiting Outlook: Current verified measurements place him at an athletic lean 200 lbs. His new height makes him a legitimate college target.

Ethan is a class of 2027 QB at Waterbury Career Academy. Ethan throws the football with impressive accuracy. He can fit the ball into tight windows across the field and throwing timing passes down the field. Ethan can also throw the football with different arm angles that help him complete passes. In addition to his throwing abilities, he also has the mobility and quickness to escape the pocket to extend the play. I think over time that Ethan’s arm strength will only improve and solidify him as a college QB.

Film Review Notes: A rising talent at QB. Has some mechanic work that needs to be tighten up and has time to put in the work. The clips in his highlight are targeted throws and unable to evaluate his progressions. He is patient and poised at pre-snap and does a nice job checking down the defense at pre-snap. The first clip displays good pocket awareness with the ability to escape the pocket, extend the play, and make accurate throws while on the run. Flash’s ability to get the ball out quickly and accurately. His current measurables align with Low FCS/ High D2 /High NAIA quarterbacks. Another talented rising freshman who has time for additional growth and development that will help dictate where he lands at the college level.
