Yet another must-know name out of Stewartville and their talent-rich 2025 class, lineman Ridge Hatz comes in at 6’2, 250 pounds and has been really boosting his stock as a prospect with this 2024 outdoor track & field season exploits. To highlight his power, Hatz posted a 52’9.25 shot put throw and a 154’0.5″ discus throw to solidify himself as one of the top throwers in the state this spring. The power shows up especially well as a RT, where he’s a crushing run blocker and finisher and uses noticeable leg drive once he gets engaged with an opponent to slam them into the turf. I also like how he uses effective footwork to help cut off and corral defenders in space, as well as in pass pro, and he showed a solid get off and pursuit speed as a defensive lineman. The throws have really put some quality context into the strength and power he shows on tape as a junior. Look for Hatz to be competing for a state championship shot put or discus title this summer!
