went from an intriguing prospect in 2023 to one of the best players in the state in 2024. Holmes was equally productive on offense as he was on defense. Now, defensively is where Holmes has the potential to have his greatest impact. He’ll be very important to bringing those younger players along. We saw him take that “coach on the field” role last season as he had a better understanding of the defense. If he takes it another step forward this season, Del City’s defense will be just fine. And then offensively, Holmes is going to be one of the hardest running backs to bring down in 1 on 1 situations as he’s simply too strong.
