Butler is one of the fastest rising prospects in the state of Texas in the 2028 class. He has great instincts combined with disciplined eyes that enable him be in position to make timely plays. Butler gets downhill quickly, plays fast but under control and he brings physicality in the run support. He is a sticky defender in pass coverage, showing the ability to move fluidly in space and get in position to make plays on the football. His versatile skill set has been a main reason that his profile on the recruiting trail has risen this offseason. UNLV, Arkansas State, Southern Miss as well as Syracuse are just a few of the programs who have sent offers his way, to go along with interest from the likes of Oklahoma State, Maryland, TCU, Arizona State and Kentucky. The Pieper standout is a name to track in the South-Central Texas area this season.

Rhyder continues to build momentum this offseason, and the hard work he’s been putting in is starting to show every time he steps on the field. The linebacker looked sharp at Texas State, moving well during drills and showing the kind of instincts that allow him to play fast and react quickly. He stayed active throughout the camp, competed with intensity, and showed a physical presence that coaches look for at the position. Rhyder was offered by Syracuse a couple of weeks ago; and last night received an offer from Texas State.

Rhyder is a linebacker who brings a physical, downhill style of play that consistently shows up around the football. He plays with urgency and aggression, quickly diagnosing runs and stepping into gaps with confidence to meet ball carriers at or near the line of scrimmage. His willingness to attack contact makes him a reliable presence in run support, where he consistently finishes plays and helps limit extra yardage.
What stands out on film is his effort and consistency from snap to snap. Rhyder stays active in pursuit, working sideline to sideline and refusing to give up on plays that break outside. He shows solid awareness in traffic and does a good job keeping himself involved even when plays extend.

Rhyder, at linebacker, impressed during drills with his agility, quickness, and overall athleticism. In cone and lateral movement drills, he displayed the ability to shift and change direction fluidly while staying balanced and under control. During coverage reps, he reacted quickly to simulated routes, showing anticipation and the ability to maintain proper positioning. His footwork and body control stood out, allowing him to stay on his toes and respond instantly to each rep.

Rhyder moves well in space, he has good short area quickness and he has active feet that enable him to make plays in space. He tested well during the drill portion of the camp, showing the ability to shift his weight quickly during the cone drills and he has good hip flexibility. Allison-Butler excelled in the 1v1s versus the running backs, he took proper angles to the ball carrier, closing down the distance between them quickly, keeping his feet hot, not getting stuck in the mud and he played the pass well, using his length to get hands on several pass deflections. At 5’10 185 pounds, he has a well put together frame that will allow him to add healthy bulk as he continues to mature. As heads into Smithson Valley, he has the potential to be a disruptive force on Friday nights in the next couple of years.

Rhyder’s exceptional performance at Under Armour’s next camp won him the coveted Linebacker Most Valuable Player award. Despite the rain-soaked field, he showcased exceptional agility during drills, effortlessly changing direction with ease. During the 1-on-1 portion of the camp, Rhyder’s superior man-cover skills were on full display, as he remained patient and squared up, cutting off the top shoulder on deep routes and impeding any underneath routes with his physicality. His outstanding performance on Saturday secured his bright future, and there’s no doubt that Rhyder is destined for greatness.
