Maveni picked up his first offer from Dartmouth to close out the first month of the year. PRZ NV’s #3 DL in the 2027 class proved to be a disruptive force on the front-seven for Reed as a junior. He’s a strong, powerful DE at 6’2″/250 that totaled 60 tackles, 10.5 sacks and 13.5 TFLs last season. Expect Maveni’s D-I interest level to continue to rise over the coming months.

Maveni- the only ranked player on this list- solidified his #5 status among Nevada’s junior DL with the breakout season he’s put together for Reed. The 6’2″/250 DE has totaled 50 tackles and leads the team in sacks (10.5) and TFLs (13.5). He’s a powerful edge-setter that makes effective use of his hands at the POA and consistently makes plays around the ball with his high motor. He’s a decent athlete that shows some juice in his get-off and continues to develop his skillset as a pass rusher. Maveni’s proven the potential he showed throughout the offseason.

Maveni’s a budding DE that should develop into a disruptive force on the edge in the coming seasons. He’s a physical defender that packs power and advanced skill in his technique. He uses fast, violent hands to disengage blocks and has shown growth in his pass-rush arsenal this offseason. Look for Maveni to raise his stock as a leader for Reed’s defensive front-seven this fall.

I am shocked Raymond Maveni Raymond Maveni 6'2" | 280 lbs | DL Reed | 2026 State NV has not received more attention from schools surrounding Nevada. Raymond has come on strong in his DL development during his sophomore year. Be on the lookout for Raymond to become a top 2026 DL recruit as we settle into the new year. A good combination of length, power, and instincts shows quickly finding the ball before dropping ball carriers in the backfield. Good closing speed and a fluid change of direction gets displayed pursuing runners as a backside run defender. Raymond’s size, athleticism, and an explosive first step gives him the chance to develop into a versatile pass rusher before his final season of high school football.
