. He has impressed up for years now, and continued that in Eau Claire. The 6’1″ 270 lbs 2026 has nearly a 6’5″ wingspan to go with the thick, powerful frame. Quinn is a weight room warrior and that showed up on the field helping him win in a variety of ways. Quinn’s ability to collapse the pocket from inside or outside is a major advantage for the defense. His explosive first step and upper body strength quickly get OL off balance and falling backwards. That same powerful burst shows up when Quinn looks to make a pass rush move. However it is in his lateral movement that we see the burst in those scenarios. It seems like every movement the incoming senior makes is loaded up with violent power. Easy to see why UWEC joined other D2 and D3 programs in offering the Union Grove standout.

An absolute dude that has been growing and developing on the DL is Union Grove’s Quinn Koepnick. Quinn had a great check in at 6’2″ 255 lbs with 10.25″ hands at the end of his 6’3.5″ wingspan. The big man dominated right from the start with his testing results. The 255 lbs athlete ran a 5.00 40, vertical jumped 25″, hit a 4.94 shuttle, and had a 7’9″ broad jump. Quinn’s weight room dedication has clearly been paying off and translating to the field. That weight room development shined in 1 on 1s where he was able to create a push with his bull rush or toss his OL aside as soon as he caught them off balance. The junior is a violent athlete on the DL that coaches need to check out. He also plays OL for Union Grove too.

Watching Quinn develop since he was a freshman has been awesome to see. As a sophomore he was able to make a solid impact on the DL, but now as a junior it is clear he has taken another step in his growth. Through 5 games, Quinn is 1 tackle and 1 TFL away from already tying his 2023 production. That output improvement matches the tape improvements. The junior is so disruptive. He has the quick get off to get right behind his man if he pulls away before the cut off blocker can reach him. Quinn also has some lateral wiggle to his game to be able to get around linemen that way. When he isn’t flying into the backfield to blow up plays, Koepnick does a great job of using his power to control the line of scrimmage. He is a legitimate mismatch and able to make an impact vs the run and pass games.

A freshman standout, and PRZ WI Showcase veteran, is the Union Grove DL. His growth this offseason has been noticeable. He is 6’1″ and up to 225 lbs. Quinn sure looks the part of a budding DL prospect. He broke the 5.00 threshold in the 40 with a 4.97. The freshman demonstrated the strength to be able to collapse the pocket and create pressure even when he doesn’t disengage with the OL. His overall quickness looked improved since last December also. Quickness is his feet and hands helped him win his reps throughout the day. I’m excited to see him get on the varsity field.

. The 6’1″ 215 lbs DE is well on his way to developing a poweful frame. He has a quick, explosviie, agile lower body that allows him to move quickly off the edge and through traffic on the edge. Quinn has been putting in the work in the weight room this offseason. Look for a big jump and impact from the underclassman this fall.

. The 6’1″ 213 lbs DL out of Union Grove HS had a great day. He has a great base of athleticism to build his game around. Quinn ended the day as my Top Testing Performance of the Position. You can see his complete numbers listed at the bottom of this article. I went to the film to get myself more familiar with the underclassman’s game.
The freshman stands out from the crowd on tape. He is bigger, and longer than the rest of the kids on the field. That athleticism is also noticeably different than the rest of the athletes around him. He relied on that to make his impact this season. I want to see him develop his body control and flexibility, as well as hand fighting moves so he can emphasize his physical traits, as well as have more ways to beat his opponents. Name to know.
