McNeal is a fun, energetic player who popped on my radar this offseason. Here is that note I made.

7/19/25: 12.06 100M (2024). Adequate mass and frame with room to grow. More twitchy than he is fast. Faster on a straight line than his T/F speed may indicate, you can credit that to his motor and hustle. Rallies hard after the ball. Best around the action where he can chase. Will be nickel/safety. Holds D1 offers.

MarQuavious McNeal is a talented ATH from Jacksonville who’s having a really impressive junior year this fall.

“Offensively, McNeal is a physical RB who plays with a ton of speed out of the backfield. He runs hard, has impressive contact balance, and can use his speed to run upfield for some big gains on the ground.

Defensively, McNeal is a dominant LB who plays terrific out in coverage. He does a great job keeping his eyes on the quarterback, is quick to cover lots of ground, and has the ball skills and hands to haul in some impressive INTs all around the field.“

“At LB, McNeal is a highly instinctual and versatile defender who can make plays against the run and pass. McNeal is a tackling machine who quickly reacts to what opposing offenses are doing- his play recognition, speed, and IQ allow him to always be in the right place at the right time. I’m super impressed with his skills against the pass; he can make plays out in coverage and generate pressure on the quarterback really well.

At RB, McNeal thrives off his quickness out of the backfield. He can easily make defenders miss with how he quickly cuts and changes his direction. When you pair that with his vision and speed, good luck stopping him, MnNeal’s a big play threat with the ball.”

In his second year, McNeal recorded 113 tackles (34 solo, 4 for loss), 9 PBUs, 3 FFs, 2 FRs, and one sack.
