Hughley rounds out our top 10 and has some of the best early varsity returns of anyone in this class. A positionless player right now who wears different hats and just gets the job done for Jacksonville. A long, leggy athlete who can go. Consistently proves capable of generating HR plays with his legs, plus possesses the ability to change direction and tap into different gears without lagging. Plays bigger than 5’10, can go up and get the ball, and attacks it in the air. Holds D1 offers and is due for a big spring on the recruiting trail.

Kelvin Hughley is a talented ATH from the Jacksonville area who’s already started to see some attention head his way.

“At RB, Hughley is unstoppable out of the backfield. He’s super quick on his feet, can easily cut and change his direction, and is a powerful runner that defenders struggle to take down. I’m really impressed with Hughley’s speed. Once he gets moving, he’s a tough guy to track down- his speed/acceleration are really impressive at his age.

Hughley can also make some splash plays on defense. He’s a really instinctive defender with impressive ball skills, tackling, and pursuit. I’m really impressed with him; it’s crazy to think he’s only in the 8th grade.”

A little while back, Hughley picked up an offer from Jacksonville State!

Hughley has a really bright future ahead of him; it’s easy to see in his tape. If you haven’t watched him before, make sure you take a look at his film below.
