Peyton Morris Peyton Morris 6'5" | 180 lbs | QB Owensboro Catholic | 2029 State KY is a player who caught my attention when breaking down freshman year film. He serves as a backup quarterback but has impressed when his number is called, completing 22/37 passes for 427 yards, five touchdowns, and two interceptions last season. Morris has shown tremendous pocket mobility, showing the ability to maneuver around the pocket to avoid pressure while keeping his eyes down the field to find the open receiver. He also has a very strong arm which he uses to stretch the field in the deep passing game. Peyton will be a player to keep an eye on over the next few seasons as he continues to develop and earn more opportunities.

Morris looked good as a freshman and was solid throughout his 6 games of action. He took care of the football well and didn’t turn it over much, which is impressive for a younger quarterback. He showed good accuracy and ball placement and flashed the ability to throw with anticipation rather than waiting for receivers to come open. He finished with 1,166 passing yards and 15 TDs, putting together a strong foundation in year one. I think he’s set up well to take over as the full-time starter in year two and continue building on that momentum.
