Peter by far was my favorite 2024 defensive back from this Part IV group as I have notes all over my notepad regarding this kid and his skillsets. The St. Paul Highland Park DB prospect, showed off early in camp from passing the early eye test with his 6’2 190 pound frame. Not just does he have a lot of size of the defensive back position to give, but he showed off super aggressive hands and also showed off quick hand speed to gauge the WR off guard quickly from the start of their rep. I also loved the comeback and quick cut-back agility Peter showed by getting back to the ball as he showed off a good base with excellent vision built into his football IQ. Load the tape on Peter and you will love his ball-tracking instincts, especially over the middle of the field on intermediate routes as like I saw at camp, he can cover plenty of range with his long strides at 6’2 and consistently on tape cuts the ball off like he did at camp with his ability to adjust on the fly. Peter also has good technique with his tackling ability and has some room for growth with that physicality. If you are a high academic football program, you have to look at this young man’s 34 ACT score as well which links up why I like his football IQ as much as I do. Certainly a prospect that I feel is going to have a good summer with more college football opportunities rolling in.
