About Payton

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I am passionate, knowledgeable, and driven. My gameplay on the field can be seen as emotional, but I love the game and want to use every snap to better myself.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I have a high expectation on myself and my team mates. I’m fun and enjoy life but work hard to play hard.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I volunteer in my community and use sports opportunities to help others. For my senior project I put on a football camp for elementary school age kids.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I am logical and smart and have developed those qualities into leadership skills on and off the field. I am a team player and in sports I am a utility player and can fill any role my team needs. I cook breakfast weekly and serve it in my community. Serving others is just another way to better myself.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

My dad was in the military so I have moved a lot and attended many different schools and played sports for many different organizations. And although this had been a challenge I have used the different programs to build my skills, knowledge of the game. It has also helped me become the utility player I am today and allows me to be a team player wherever I go.

What type of college are you looking for?

Ideally I would like to be west coast, however I just want to play football and I am open to any school. I do want to get my unmanned aircraft license and a school with a drone program is ideal.

Zigga is another prospect that had a breakout campaign on the edge in 2024, and sees an uptick in his ranking in this update. He is a bit undersized for the edge, but makes up for it with initial twitch, natural bend and first step explosion off the ball. He is a twitchy and elusive pass rusher with a quick use of hands and shows he can win with both speed and power against bigger tackles. He is a high motor kid that flies to the ball and shows quick block recognition and redirect abilities. He is a no-brainer D3+ player at the next level and will be a steal down the stretch as we near the second and final national signing day.
