Mowder is a hard hitting inside linebacker that plays bigger then he is and is always around the ball making tackles behind the LOS. He is a very high IQ kid that sniffs out plays quickly and plays downhill, shocking and shedding his way to ball carries and moves well laterally sideline to sideline while also showing he can redirect and track down ball carriers backside. In coverage, he plays with fluid hips and man cover abilities downfield with solid ball skills but tackles well in space, closes quickly and takes the proper angles to ball carriers in the open field. He should be well over the 90+ tackle marker this season and is one of the top ’28 linebacker prospects we have and could see a uptick in his state ranking in the next update.
