Williams embodies what you want in a dominant offensive lineman: strength, agility, and a relentless motor. He plays through the whistle, opening lanes in the run game and anchoring against elite pass rushers. His performance in Aledo’s Week 1 win over Denton Guyer set the tone for the offense, and he’ll face another major challenge against Lancaster’s talented defensive front in Week 2. . A three-year starter, Williams is as reliable and dominant as they come on the offensive line. A massive mauler of a guard, Williams spends most of his time on the left side, providing a strong anchor for the Aledo offense. Payton plays with great explosive hands off the snap and great instincts. He does a good job of playing low to high, consistently striking defensive linemen in the chest plate with power and precision. Williams also never stops after the initial attack, always seeking out another block to make in the second level in run packages. He will continue to develop his agility and footwork, ultimately making him an elite offensive guard ready to perform at the next level. Williams recently pledged a commitment to UTSA after a senior year where he will seek to help lead the Bearcats to the promised land.
