Parker has been on our radars since he won DB MVP at one of our previous PRZ WI Showcases. The senior is now up to 6’1″ 170 lbs and hasn’t lost any of his next level quick twitch athleticism. His feet, hips, and change of direction are effortless, making him a legitimate CB prospect. Friday night we saw him playing safety and with that came a great display of his speed/range. He easily was able to roam around the field and provide run support. His closing speed helped shut down a lot of runs right at the line of scrimmage. Coaches will love his aggressive play style, both in coverage and in run support. Don’t sleep on this kid. He has continued to develop over this past year. Get on him while you can.

I love the quick twitch athleticism that Parker possesses. It gives him the ability to press at the line in man coverage, be aggressive with his jam, and run stride for stride with the receiver through the entire route. His hips and feet are so quick, allowing him to be so quick to react to the receiver’s movements. Parker also has the acceleration to be able to recover or close on the WR in an instant. The stage is set for Parker to come out this summer and lock down WRs. We have seen him do it in person before when he was winning DB MVP at past PRZ WI Showcases. Get ready for a big summer from Rode.

Parker made a strong impression at the recent PRZ WI Showcase with his play at CB. The junior is a twitchy athlete that demonstrated over and over he has the reactive athleticism to mirror receivers throughout a route tree. Parker also possesses a very effective closing burst that allows him to recover when he does get out of position. The junior does a great job of understanding how aggressive he can be without drawing flags too. There’s a confidence to his game that is needed while out on an island like CBs are. Big fan of this kid.

Parker crushed the day, especially when we got to the positional drills and the 1 on 1 battles. The junior DB possesses impressively quick feet in his backpedal, when transitioning or changing direction, and when running downfield. The speed is there to be able to cover the go route and stay right in his man’s pocket. Parker showed off the closing speed to recover or to get to the catch point in time to break up passes. Rode’s lightning quick athleticism paired perfectly with his quick route recognition, allowing him to make so many plays while running stride for stride with his man. Parker is an exciting prospect that is going to turn a lot of heads at camps over the next 8 months.
