The top of our RB position are a bunch of well rounded, physical athletes. Next up we have New Richmond’s

. Wittek is a member of NDSU’s first FBS level recruiting Class. The 6′ 190 lbs 2027 dominates with a running style that ensures Austyn is always gaining positive yards. He is a one cut runner, and once he is getting north-south the ’27 would rather run through a man than try and dance around him. The tape shows that it is a reliable option. Over and over you will see the RB breaking tackles, bouncing off hits, and all the while still gaining positive yards. He will always fall forward and you can bet that Austyn won’t go down without a fight. I’m pumped to watch his final season.

. The 2027 RB and NDSU commit is a strong talent to steal this late. He is such a balanced runner who absorbs contact really well, keeps his legs churning, and doesn’t go down on first contact. I also love that Austyn is always gaining yards, not hesitating or dancing around. He is a one cut runner and most. Otherwise he gets north and south and uses that power and second gear to create big plays.

2025 was Austyn’s breakout party. He was an effective #2 in 2024, but that was nothing compared to this past season. The junior is one of the best athletes in the Class of 2027 and will be one of our top risers without a doubt. The powerful athlete brings such a balanced skill set to the field. His best traits are his size, power, and best of all his contact balance. I was able to watch one of Austyn’s games live and it further highlighted his ability to take contact and just keep gaining yards. To be able to get knocked off balance but keep his feet and keep going forward. I’m very excited to see more offers come in the for highly skilled RB.

Austyn was one of the biggest breakouts in the state. He is also going to be one of the biggest risers during our upcoming rankings update. Last year Austyn barely cracked 500 yards as the backup RB. This season he went off for 1,800+ and 31 TDs on the ground. The massive leap in production pales in comparison to the dominant traits he possesses. Austyn is a powerful RB. I was able to see him live and watch how great his contact balance was, how decisive of a runner he was, and how he has a 2nd gear in the open field. Austyn is a playmaker and going to find himself way up the rankings. Big things ahead for the potential D1 RB.

When looking at RBs still in the playoffs your eyes should quickly turn to New Richmond’s

. The junior RB already holds offers from NDSU and North Dakota thanks to the dominance he has displayed this season. That dominance can be illustrated by his 1,674 rushing yards, and 27 TDs to this point of the season.
Austyn would be the outcome if I were to put parts together, like a Frankenstein, to build a dominant WI HS RB. A strong, muscular frame with a strong burst to top speed, and a second gear that can pull away in the open field. Wittek is equally powerful and balanced. The junior makes you earn every single tackle and rarely goes down 1 on 1. He requires gang tackles, he requires you to contain him the second he touches the ball, and even when you do that the playmaker still finds ways to create the big play. Scary to go against.

It has been a great weekend for Austyn who went to NDSU and earned his first offer following his game. It was a well earned offer based off what we saw Friday. The junior has a great frame, now standing 6′ 187 lbs. He is a one cut runner, and when he finds the seam can powerfully accelerate into the second level. The athletic tools check the boxes. Speed to get the edge and beat angles is there. But what I loved most from the night is the way he plays through contact. It seemed like he never went down without half the defense on him. His lower body strength and contact balance shined all night long and were key to New Richmond staying in this game. The 2027 RB is a special athlete who will be seeing a big jump in that overall ranking number at the end of the season. Don’t miss out on this kid.

Austyn is another athlete who had a great debut among his position group. He debuted at RB5 and there is a decent shot that he isn’t done climbing that list. We have talked recently about the job opening before him this season. The workload should be there for him to show off his well balanced game. The incoming junior can with with speed, with elusive agility between the tackles, and his 5’11” 185 lbs frame can handle some physical running and tough yards. New Richmond won’t hesitate to run the ball early and often, so the chances are there for Wittek to build on his sophomore season and have a breakout junior campaign.

Even while serving as the RB2 of the offense, Austyn was able to show off hints towards what could be a massive junior season. He put up 96/518/3 on the ground, but this summer is why I have gotten the most excited for Wittek’s future impact. Austyn has posted elite numbers athletically. He hit an elite 38.4″ vertical and also ran a 4.51 40 yard dash. The ’27 also qualified for state in track & field while also breaking the school record for the long jump. Every chance he gets, Wittek proves that he has some off the charts athletic strengths. I can’t wait to see what comes from that with 15-20 carries a game.
