The senior standout for the Elida Bulldogs picked up his first few FBS offers last spring-summer. Illinois was the first P4 to jump in and offer Crim this past January and in May he committed to the Fighting Illini. His physical development has been what jumped out to me. His game was based on his combo of strength and athleticism. For me he profiles as a SAM linebacker in Illinois 3-4 defense. Over the last year he’s added 20 pounds which will allow him to further that skillset. He’s going to excel at setting the edge and he’ll be able to get pressure on the QB from time to time.

had a good Sophomore season in 2023. His solid play was a bright spot in the 5-6 season of the Elida Bulldogs. He plays as a DE. Against the pass, he shows a great combination of speed and strength as he effectively uses his hands and quickness to beat the OT to the inside before disengaging. He displays excellent closing speed in pursuit before finishing up with a sack. Against the run, he is very strong at the point of attack as he easily defeats the attempted block of the OT. He effectively reads the play and makes the tackle near the LOS preventing a gain of significant yardage.
