The production on film already speaks for itself, so a big part of this camp will be getting verified measurements and seeing how the physical profile matches the on-field movement ability. Bigelow plays with a downhill mentality and brings the type of toughness you want from a middle linebacker, but the WV Exposure Series should also provide a strong look at his overall athleticism. This will be especially true during all three portions of the camp, where evaluators can get a clearer picture of his long-term ceiling as a prospect.

He’s a smart and heady middle linebacker who does a great job in run defense and seeking the ball. Bigelow appears to have improved his quickness and overall athleticism this season and is playing faster on film, especially laterally. He’s a high-effort player who plays behind his pads well and is physical at the point of contact.

Fairmont Senior will have another Bigelow making plays on defense this season as older brother Hunter and cousin Trevor graduated from last year’s squad. The sophomore totaled 98 tackles, 16 TFLs, and 2 forced fumbles this season, which earned him a bump in the rankings to the #3 LB spot in the class. Bigelow is a tough, hard-nosed player with good bloodlines, which bodes well for his future development. He dissects plays well and takes good angles while being a very good between-the-tackles run stopper. Bigelow does a nice job squaring his shoulders and getting behind his pads when tackling, often laying a big hit.

We got to see him live at our Combine in May where he stood out as a young athlete with early potential and upside as a linebacker prospect. Bigelow may have to wait his turn for a year on his new team with a loaded roster, but we could see him contributing on special teams as a sophomore with some spot duty at linebacker mixed in. He was a physical young player for St. James (MD) as a freshman last season with OL reps which bodes well for his future outlook and what we love to see in young linebackers.

Bigelow’s best football is ahead of him and should make steady progress each year while finishing as a well-developed prospect by the time he’s a senior.
