About Owen
Expert Analysis
Scott Burgess | Prep Redzone Scout
Yorke is a versatile weapon that is primarily a running back, but could also bring value in the return game and as a slot wide receiver. Runs hard and has speed in the open field. Loves to use jump cuts in traffic to make defenders miss. Hits hold hard and takes good angles. Quickness in tight spaces. Nose for the endzone when inside the five. Brings a lot of upside as a pass catcher out of the backfield.

Let’s talk about the 5’11” 185 lbs sophomore who earned himself a big role on the Wheaton Warrenville South varsity team. Let’s talk about how as an underclassman he stepped onto the big stage and made an impact with physicality. He proved that he can handle the dirty work of gaining the tough yards. Owen is predominantly a north-south runner. We see him find the lane and attack. The sophomore will implement jukes and quick lateral moves to give him an angle or make a man miss, but his main focus is gettin gupfiedl and gaining yards. To do that consistently you need to be able to take hits, maintain balance and keep churning those legs to more yards. Owen does that. Owen also has enough speed to pick up those big chunks if the defense lets him get to green grass. Keep an eye on Owen as he enters his junior year. I like what he has show already.
