One of the most electric WRs in Minnesota going into the fall, Goodhue was loaded with talent and Roschen family members in 2025-26. The Wildcats made a Class AA Prep Bowl state championship performance against Jackson County Central that was a few converted first downs away from an upset, and unfortunately hoops went a similar route, as Goodhue went 31-2 in 2025-26, losing to Minnehaha Academy in the Class 2A championship. However, despite the losses, these back-to-back championship appearance runs solidify the fact that Goodhue is bursting with talent this calendar school year, and 2027 Owen Roschen Owen Roschen 5'11" | 155 lbs | WR/DB Goodhue | 2027 State MN is set to keep the good times going for the Wildcats next year.
The PG and WR tallied 14.4 ppg, 4.7 rpg, 4.2 apg, and 2.2 spg in 2025-26, and the junior went off at the state tourney, walking away with Class AA All-Tournament Team honors thanks to his performance under the brightest of high school basketball lights. Big chance of his #110 ranking on PrepHoops may be going up after that showing! However, the kid is also a stud WR and DB, and he’s electric after the catch in his junior highlights. Start/stop ability, burst, vision, quickness, and balance are a fun combination after the catch and in the open field, and Roschen also made a CLUTCH bananas contested catch on an out route for an OT game winner in the Class AA quarterfinals against Waterville-Elysian-Morristown. Primarily working out of the slot, Roschen can go up and win 50/50 balls and contested catches, and the basketball background shows up in the hops, effectiveness, and timing of his jumps. He threw out a dirty out-and-up that had a DB’s head spinning his junior highlights, and the two-way impact player owns a huge catch radius for his size. Body control and balance when playing the ball in the air allow him to land and continue forward with positive momentum, and as a CB on the defensive side of the ball, he showed some real grit and toughness in the Class AA state championship against JCC. Total package here! NSIC schools in both sports should be on notice.
