The sophomore cornerback is already receiving plenty of recruiting attention from across the country. Friday’s performance was a glimpse into what the big cornerback is capable of in the secondary. Simms has the frame of a high-level cornerback, and he continues to develop the type of game to go with it. He had a couple impressive pass breakups in the loss including a play in the end zone to prevent a touchdown. His ability to play in man coverage is impressive, and he has fluid hips allowing him to play out on an island regardless of the matchup. He plays with great vision and his instincts jump out as well.
