Millikan receiver Jay Williams Jay Williams 6'5" | 195 lbs | WR Millikan | 2027 State CA announced his commitment to Kansas on Monday.

Williams caught 29 passes for 615 yards with six touchdowns for Millikan last season.

He also had offers from Oregon State, Syracuse and Washington State among others. Williams is the third player from California in Kansas’ 2027 recruiting class and the fourth receiver.

Williams was one of the better deep ball receivers at the camp during the one-on-one period. He changes direction nicely without losing his speed and knows how to use his length on 50/50 balls.

With a frame that screams red-zone mismatch, he’s got the length to snatch balls out of the air and the track speed (11.19 in the 100m) to blow by safeties. His catch radius is enormous, and he high-points with authority. Williams runs precise stems and has soft hands, but adding strength will unlock his blocking and YAC potential.

In terms of raw upside, Williams led all WRs with the length and athleticism he possesses at 6’4″/170. Still growing into his lengthy frame but showed some promising traits as a vertical threat with his straight-line speed and elite catch radius. Smooth releaser at the LOS looked slick and deceptive setting up his breaks. Presents arguably the highest ceiling of any skill player at the camp with the physical tools he possesses. Williams picked up three offers from UNLV, Washington St., and Colorado St. and figures to add to that list this offseason.
