He is kind of a hybrid of a strong safety, a nickel corner and an outside linebacker. Howell is very good in man coverage and is physical without drawing flags. As a run defender, he’s patient and does a good job not letting blockers get to his body. He takes good pursuit angles and is a solid tackler.
